Vinyasa Yoga at South Coastal Library
Looking for something a little more challenging than gentle flow? Do you want to increase flexibility and reduce stress? Join Sarah Schaber, RYT-500 certified yoga instructor, for a free 1-hour vinyasa yoga class. In this class, you move through a flowing practice that connects the postures with the breath, and will be moderately paced with some more challenging poses than gentle flow. This can help to create energy, build strength, and promote flexibility and circulation throughout the body. You will be moving through various positioning (i.e. lying on your back and abdomen, seated, hands and knees, and standing.) In order to ensure all participants' safety, it is recommended you are able to move and reposition independently. Ages 18+ please.
You will end the class with a deep relaxation to help release stress and tension and to integrate all the benefits of our yoga practice to leave you feeling calm and focused.
Reminders:
- Please bring a yoga mat or towel from home. The instructor also recommends two 4-inch-deep foam yoga blocks.
- Advanced registration is encouraged as it guarantees your spot in the class. A few walk-in spots available in each class for those that prefer to just drop-in (first come, first serve as space permits). To register go online, visit the library, or call at 302-858-5518.
- If you are new to yoga or are looking for a more gentle and slow practice, please consider Gentle Flow with Sarah instead. Held on most 3rd and 4th Mondays of the month at 10:15 am. While vinyasa is more challenging than gentle flow, all skill levels are still welcome, and chairs are always available at the library.
This library program is designed to supplement library materials and services that promote community-based health literacy and to foster fitness and healthy habits within individuals.
