Full Time IT Engineer
 
WMDT-TV, Salisbury, MD has an opening for a full-time IT Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting and maintaining the IT infrastructure and broadcast technology systems that are integral to our broadcast operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both IT and broadcast technology, with the ability to troubleshoot, manage, and optimize systems that enable seamless production and delivery of broadcast content. If a candidate has strong IT knowledge, we are willing to train the broadcast side.

A minimum of 2 years’ experience working in the IT Field or related position at a broadcast television station preferred.  The candidate must be able to respond to trouble calls in a 24/7 environment, have a valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record. 
Responsibilities & Duties:

• Support WMDT, WGDV & WGTA broadcast equipment and OTA signal and gear, including OTT signal and gear
• Supply IT support to all stations electronic devices including but not limited to cell phones, computers, tablets and other equipment as needed.
• Assist in the maintenance of all station equipment, including satellite reception, studio equipment, weather center equipment and weather cameras as needed.
• Work with MCO supervisor to ensure maintenance and necessary upgrades to EAS equipment and upgrades, work with MCO supervisor ensure regular technical logs are completed and kept on file
• Other duties as required to ensure building safety regulations are met, the building facility is kept in good working order, and necessary repairs are made or contracted and completed.

Pay Range:  $35,000 - $50,000
