Part-Time Administrative Office Assistant

Salem Church – 20 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide general administrative support to the pastor and church staff.

  • Manage and update church records, schedules, and communications.

  • Prepare bulletins and other church documents.

  • Assist with coordinating weekly services and church events.

  • Handle phone calls, emails, and visitor inquiries warmly and professionally.

  • Maintain office supplies and assist with basic bookkeeping or data entry as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Calendar).

  • Experience using or willingness to learn basic QuickBooks for bookkeeping and record management.

  • Able to learn and navigate church-specific software (training provided).

  • General understanding of the weekly functions of a church office, including service preparation and ministry coordination.

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Dependable, trustworthy, and able to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.

  • Friendly and approachable, with a heart for service and teamwork.

  • Education/Experience: A high school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate degree or previous office or church administrative experience is preferred.
