Perfect for kids of all ages! Discover the many types of shelled animals living in the bay at the James Farm Ecological Preserve! This program also dives into the impacts these creatures have on the ecosystem and local economy. Participants will have the opportunity to explore the beach and the Preserve and hopefully find living animals!
Participants will be in and around the water, so please wear clothes and shoes that can get wet and sandy. Closed-toe shoes are encouraged. Don’t forget to bring water, sunscreen, and insect repellent, as the Preserve can be buggy at times.
You’ll walk approximately 0.5 miles to and from the beach, with the majority of the program spent wading in the water at the beach.
Participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times. This program is weather permitting.
Tickets are free, but registration is required.
