“THE COMEDY TONIGHT SHOW” “The Comedy Tonight Show” –Friday & Saturday nights in the comfort and splendor of Dickens Parlour Theatre. Shows will begin at 9 PM and run approximately 90 minutes, featuring nationally known comic, Johnny Watson, and other professional comics. Tickets are $20/person and includes one beverage. Johnny Watson has been the “funny guy” his whole life. As a kid, he was accustomed to food stamps, TV Dinners and free lunch programs, which prepared him well for his first few careers, a Navy Seaman, Medieval Times busboy and (un)professional baby photographer, before becoming a full time comic. Growing up in Paterson, New Jersey, he had to be funny cause he lived in a tough neighborhood. As Johnny tells it, “I was the poor kid on free lunch who always got my chops busted; since I couldn’t fight, I had to be funny.” And he’s still funny, very funny, bringing home-grown humor with tales of a fractured family that will have you smiling between the tears. Watson has appeared at the Comic Strip Live, Dangerfield’s Comedy Club, New York Comedy Club, Broadway Comedy Club and The Comedy Store in Los Angeles, among others. He has also appeared in numerous TV, film and theater productions including Saturday Night Live, and the film Killing John Lennon. Johnny has charmed audiences across the United States using his raw talent, honesty and innate ability to explain life’s challenges in his own edgy, yet refreshingly clean style.
