Bethany Beach First Responders Sprinternational Triathlon-Duathlon benefits Bethany Beach’s First Responders in the Fire, Police, and EMS departments and will be held on Sunday September 23, 2012, at 7:30 a.m.  

Race Details:
USA Triathlon sanctioned event .

Athletes may compete in one of two races:
- Triathlon – 1000 meter (.62 mile) point to point ocean swim, 30k (18.5 mile) bike and 7k (4.35 mile) run.
- Duathlon – 1k (.62 mile) beach run, 30k (18.5 mile) bike and 7k (4.35 mile) run

Triathlon/Duathlon starts with a point to point ocean swim[AK1] /beach run, with the transition area on Garfield Parkway and Atlantic Avenue in downtown Bethany Beach. The bike and run will encompass Bethany Beach, North Bethany, Indian River Bridge and South Bethany.  The race will end at the Bandstand on the Bethany Beach Boardwalk.

Flat and fast terrain and overall ideal conditions.

Featuring finishing medals, overall, masters, Clydesdale, Athena, First Responder, and age group awards, and a post-race party.

Race packet pick up will be at the Bethany Beach Volunteer Fire Department on Saturday, September 22, 4-8 p.m.  Packet pick up will feature a Pasta Dinner buffet, a sports expo and a health fair for all athletes and their guests.  Tickets for the Pasta Dinner will be available for $12 for adults and $5 children under 10 years old.

Procrastinator before September 20th - $110
Relay Teams Early/Regular/Procrastinator - $175/$205/$225
