45th Annual Bethany Beach Boardwalk Arts Festival

The 45th Annual Bethany Beach Boardwalk Arts Festival in downtown Bethany Beach will be held on September 9, 2023 from 10 am - 5 pm. The popular one-day show features jewelry, glass, pottery, watercolor and oil paintings, photography, woodworking, and much more! Over 100 juried artists, both local and from around the country, will display their work along the bandstand, boardwalk, and streets of downtown Bethany Beach. For 45 years, festival-goers have savored the end of summer at the annual event, proving there is not a more beautiful backdrop for unique works of art. SUPPORTING ARTS IN THE COMMUNITY

Silent Auction
The annual event serves as a fundraiser for the arts programs at five local schools. The silent auction is comprised of pieces donated by participating artists, and is hosted on the Bethany Beach Bandstand from 10 am - 2 pm. The schools which benefit from the silent auction are Lord Baltimore Elementary School, Southern Delaware School of the Arts, John M. Clayton Elementary School, Phillip C. Showell Elementary School and Selbyville Middle School.

IMPORTANT EVENT INFORMATION:

Parking
Visit here to learn more on public parking in Bethany Beach. Additional overflow parking will be available at St. Ann's Parish located at 691 Garfield Parkway, Bethany Beach from 10AM-2PM only. Jolly Trolley, sponsored by Renewal by Andersen, will be providing shuttle service between St. Ann's and the shuttle stop on the 200th block of Garfield Parkway (by the playground) in downtown Bethany Beach from 10AM-2PM.

Inclement Weather
In the event that inclement weather is forecasted that poses a threat to public safety, the festival has a rain date scheduled for Sunday, September 10, 2023. All announcements regarding the show date will be made on this website.

Rain Date / Cancellation Policy
The Bethany-Fenwick Area Chamber of Commerce will notify all artists no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, September 8. Artists will be notified via email. The Chamber will post all announcements regarding the Bethany Beach Boardwalk Arts Festival homepage and on social media. Artists who cannot attend the rain date will not be issued refunds.
If the Bethany Beach Boardwalk Arts Festival is postponed to the rain date of Sunday, September 11th:

• The show hours will remain the same, 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
• Set up and check in will still follow the Saturday schedule (schedule noted on previous page)
• Artists must be present at the show. No stand-ins or artist’s representatives are permitted.

If the event is cancelled completely by the Bethany-Fenwick Area Chamber of Commerce for any reason all participating artists will be issued a 100% refund of their booth fee or the option to defer their booth payment to the 2023 show. Artists will not be reimbursed for any other incurred expenses (e.g. accommodations, travel expenses, tent rentals, advertising, etc.

Artist Information:
Accepted Artists, purchase your advertisement in the Arts Festival Program. Complete this form and submit to Matt, communications@thequietresorts.com by Friday, July 14.

Certificate of Insurance:
All artists must have a certificate of insurance with them on the date of the event. Please add Bethany-Fenwick Area Chamber of Commerce as "additionally insured" on your certificate of insurance for the date of the event.
