For example\, the sonic blasts planned for oil research prior to oil drilling off our Atlantic Coast\, can damage the hearing of sea mammals\, sea turtles and other oceanic creatures. The public is invited to join us in learning about this assault on our ocean and to find out what actions we can take. The film was produced in cooperation with the Natural Resources Defense Council and is being sponsored by local environmental non-profit organizations including: the Sierra Club's SussexDE Section\, the Citizens' Climate Lobby - Lower DE\, the MERR Institute and other groups that may join in this educational effort. The documentary\, directed by Michelle Dougherty and Daniel Hinefeld\, brings together beautiful cinematography and audio effects that draw viewers into this ethereal underwater world.
