DESCRIPTION:Astronomy For Everyone: Size & Scale of the Universe\n\nJoin us Saturday\, January 25 from 10:00 am - 11:30 am for "Astronomy For Everyone: Size & Scale of the Universe." This program\, presented by Kevin Manning\, is an exciting family program for all ages\, from 8 to 100+. It is a virtual journey throughout the cosmos and will cover information about the universe from the very small to the very large.\n\n\n\nStargazing with Kevin Manning\n\nJoin Kevin Manning for a special view into our stars and planets. A whole new world comes alive at night and is waiting to be explored. When you head out at night to stargaze\, take your family or friends with you\, be prepared for a cool night\, and let your eyes adjust to the wonder above. Kevin will also bring a laser pointer to help you see things your eyes have never seen before!\n\n\n\nThis program will be offered both Friday and Saturday night. The program will be hosted at Bear Trap Dunes on Friday\, January 24 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm and will be hosted on the beach in downtown Bethany Beach on Saturday\, January 25 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm.\n\n\n\nAbout Kevin\n\nKevin is the founder of Look Up to the Stars\, with a mission to generate interest and foster scientific literacy nationwide through the delivery of awe-inspiring\, educational\, and entertaining programs. Kevin has worked as a Consultant with NASA\, the Chandra X-Ray Observatory (space telescope) launched on the space shuttle with the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics. He has won national and international awards in his field.\n\n\n\nKevin has run workshops at several noteworthy locations\, such as Tufts University\, State University of New York at Stony Brook\, the National Science Teachers Association's National Convention\, and the National Parks Service. Kevin goes to great lengths to communicate his passion for the amazing world of outer space. Whether he's lecturing\, consulting or teaching people how to build telescopes\, he loves to share his contagious enthusiasm and knowledge of Astronomy.\n\n\n\nThis event is free to the public.
