DESCRIPTION:CHEER\, Inc. is celebrating the Christmas season by hosting its annual Deck the Halls with Christmas CHEER on Friday\, Dec. 2 from 6-10 p.m. The event will be held at the Warren L. and Charles C. Allen\, Jr. CHEER Community Center on Sand Hill Road\, east of Georgetown. Beautifully decorated Christmas trees and wreaths will highlight the evening. There will also be a Santa's Bake Shop to satisfy your sweet tooth\, a silent auction\, Christmas gifts\, dinner catered by Lighthouse Catering\, and dancing with music by The Funsters. On the dinner menu will be beef tenderloin stuffed with seafood\, Tuscan chicken\, mini shells with pesto cream sauce\, broccoli/cauliflower topped with blue cheese sauce\, rice with vegetables\, fruit crepes with flavored whipped cream for dessert\, and a cash bar. The public is invited to enjoy this holiday event. Tickets are $40 per person. They can be purchased at the CHEER Community Center or by contacting Dave Tidwell at 302-854-2888 or 302-854-9500. If anyone would like to decorate and sponsor a tree or wreath for the event\, please contact Dave. Proceeds from Deck the Halls will be used to support services for senior citizens in Sussex County.
