Artwork should reflect the every day life and challenges of women\, the self discovery\, the victories\, the defeats\, the mundane and the extravagant. This is an opportunity to celebrate our UNITY\, STRENGTH\, and VISION for the future. Artists may enter up to two pieces of original artwork for consideration: all media\, 2D and 3D. Female artists only.\n\nExhibit juror: Deborah Rolig.\n\nDeadline for online entry: Monday Sept 7\, 4pm.\n\n**Artists will be notified by email of acceptance. Accepted works will be displayed in-person at the OC Center for the Arts through the month of October.\n\nDates for hand-delivery of accepted work: Sunday Sept 27-Monday Sept 28\, by appointment. Please see below for shipping information.\n\nExhibit dates: Sept 29-Oct 31\, 2020.\n\nEntry fee: $10 for members/ $15 for non-members per piece. Non-refundable.\n\nPrizes awarded for first place: $150\, second place: $100\, third place: $75\, and 3 honorable mentions.\n\nEligibility: Artists must be 18 years or older and may submit up to two pieces of original artwork for consideration. Artwork must be created in the past three years\, relevant to the theme\, and never before shown at an ALOC judged show. All hanging artwork must be securely framed and properly wired for hanging. The maximum outside frame dimensions may not exceed 36 x48 .\n\nShipping: Accepted artists are responsible for hand-delivering or shipping their work to and from the ALOC and insuring it while in transit. Shipped entries must be securely packed (no styrofoam peanuts) and sent in substantial reusable containers. Pieces must be received by Monday Sept 28.\n\nShip Selected Work To: Art League of Ocean City\, 502 94th St\, Ocean City MD 21842.\n\nReturn Shipping: Artists must provide a pre-paid return shipping label for the return of unsold items. Artwork left with the gallery more than 30 days after the close of the exhibition without return arrangements will be deemed abandoned and become the property of the ALOC.\n\nSales: The ALOC receives a commission of thirty percent (30%) of the sale price of artwork and all sales of artwork exhibited must be processed through the ALOC. If the sale price was discounted through an ALOC member purchase discount\, the artist will still receive 70% compensation as a percentage of the asking price. Payment will be made by check to the artist by the end of the month following the exhibit.
